Hi!
I’m Alex Thisted.
Not Alexander.
Not Alexandra.
Just Alex.
I’m a 16-year old female Slopestyle Skiier.
I started skiing when I was 3-years old at Keystone, Colorado.
At 6-years old I joined SC Freeride – a ski team based out of Keystone.
In 2017, I joined Team Summit and started competing in Slopestyle skiing.
I ski for Team Summit park & pipe team in Summit County, Colorado.
I recently earned a gold and silver medal at the mammoth US Rev Tour Slopestyle comp, and won the overall Homelite US Rev tour Slopestyle Championship.

I spend each summer practicing at Woodward Copper with many amazing coaches and amazing teammates, who motivate and challenge me every day.
I just got invited by the US ski team to participate in the FIS Junior World Championships for Slopestyle in Leysin, Switzerland.
I’m excited and honored to represent the United States, Team Summit, my coaches and my teammates.
In January 2019 I was invited to represent the State of Colorado, the Town of Frisco and Team Summit in the International Children’s Winter Games in Lake Placid, New York – the home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics.
It was an honor to compete against skiers from 14 countries and 33 cities.
And, I’m proud to say…
I won two Gold Medals!
One in Slopestyle skiing and one in Skier-Cross.

In 2021 I took it to the next level competing with girls from the US and abroad…
Successfully.
I competed in the Futures Tour events in Park City where I placed 2nd, Winter Park where I placed 1st, and Mammoth Mountain where I placed 1st.
I also qualified for the Revolution Tour and placed in the top 10 against some of the best in the sport who are fighting for spots on the United States Olympic Team.
My experience in international competition has made me realize how amazing and special my teammates are and how fierce the competition is here in Colorado.
I want to prove girls can set the bar, and not just be “good for a girl.”

Colorado girls rock!!
My goal is to one day compete in the X-Games and the Olympics and bring home The Gold for America.
The quote I try to live my life by is from my favorite book, “Wonder” by R.J. Palico:
“When given the choice of being right and being kind, choose kind.”
This quote reminds me to be kind to everyone I meet.
I work hard to be a good role model, on and off the mountain.
I couldn’t have done all of this with out the love and support of my Mom, my Dad and my Coach Teddy.

If you’re a skier, I’d love to hear from you.
Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Stay cool and remember to leave it all out on the mountain.
I hope to see you out on the slopes.
Alex
